Hmph. [You're such a hypocrite, Brother. Jin says nothing more and closes his own journal.]

[ACTION]

[He's surprisingly (luckily?) still in the plaza when Ragna finally gets there. Jin's sitting on a bench, people-watching in utter silence. There's a serious expression on his face, as if he's contemplating something each time his eyes shift to one person in particular before jumping to another. Every so often, however, he shifts the overcoat of his uniform to get a better peek at the wings he's hiding that so many others are showing. Have they no shame for this atrocity?

In all honesty, if Litchi hadn't told him already, he's be trying to rip them off feather by feather, if necessary. ...Except he still really wants to try, anyway, because beyond his expression he's pissed at this whole situation and is using all his common sense to rationalize that would be such a stupid idea. Ragna, too, had told him not to do anything stupid, but, one can't help how they feel when it's described as desperate-no, hopeless. No one has been able to tell him the information he really needs. With a scowl he drops the overcoat back to drape over the white feathers before he's tempted more. The major continues his people-watching with a new discontent atmosphere about him and an unamused expression.]

[It'll take awhile, but soon enough, Ragna arrives. He doesn't give it any thought once he sees Jin actually behaving, though he seems to be... people-watching? Whatever, he won't judge. He's not even sure if he's doing that. The important part is that he's sitting there, not doing stupid things to people or himself.

So he just approaches Jin from a direction opposite of where he actually lives. Yes, he walked the long way around just to make sure that Jin doesn't get any bright ideas and such. That's how wary Ragna is today. Or... always, around Jin.]

Jin? [He's here. So... they can talk now.] Don't start spouting any bullshit. Just tell me what you know about the situation here.

. . . [That voice pulls Jin from his thoughts as if the notice of the familiar red coat approaching hadn't been enough of a tip that Ragna had indeed done what he said he'd do and found Jin. What a rare occasion this was, it excites him to think his brother would come after him for once, since that hardly ever happens.

Jin isn't hard to please when it comes to Ragna. It doesn't make a real difference whether he's always stalking finding him or a rare situation such as this occurs. Without Yukianesa, his crazy is severely tuned down, but that doesn't mean he isn't still obsessed with getting to have his brother's blood all over him attention.]

Brother...

[So, yes, excited and Ragna is right to be wary because if Yukianesa was here, this would go down a lot differently.

Then again, they both already know that, don't they? Even if for different reasons.

For now, he'll be as "normal" as possible around his brother and not spout any bullshit (or do anything) for as long as he can manage during this encounter, Ragna.]

We're kidnapped to this place to be experiments for some lunatics calling themselves scientists. The... Malnosso, is that what she called them? [He's mentally going through the report Noel gave him.] There's an unbreakable barrier set up, so we're stuck here. Be careful what you say over the journals, they use them to monitor individuals and... [Here is where Jin gets moody and annoyed in his tone of voice and expression] don't try and rip your wings out.

[What a weakness these damn things were. So obvious and easily targeted.]

[That sounds about right. Ragna is pulling out his journal as Jin speaks, but he's not ignoring him. He's just trying to find the guide in case Jin didn't get a chance to read it.]

Sounds about right, give or take a few things. [Wait.] Who is she?

[Since the ranks of the NOL mean nothing to Ragna, he leaves the title out.]

Noel Vermillion.

[Don't worry, Ragna, if she gave him the directions to your home, Jin's neatly already written them down and won't lose them.]

[... He already ran into Noel!? Ragna stops skimming through the journal for a moment. So many alarms going off in Ragna's head, it's hard to grasp what he should be saying or asking. Dammit!

Okay, okay. Maybe nothing bad happened. Jin seemed pretty calm, and Yukianesa didn't seem to be in his possession just yet. Maybe they had a civil conversation, and Noel's fine. If Ragna even dares show an ounce of worry for Noel's well-being after being told that Jin ran into her, Ragna is sure that the situation could only get worse in the near future.]

Right. She did a good job explaining it to you. [He'll just continue skimming the journal until he find the guide, trying to avoid direct eye contact with Jin for a few moments as he tries to decide if he should go looking for Noel after this.] There's this guide you should read, if you haven't already.

A guide? [And he's just staring at you with a whole bunch of accusation for hiding something. You're not exactly good at hiding your feelings, Ragna.

Jin's perfectly aware that the two of you are together (or were, at least, back in Kagutsuchi). That's why he escaped the hospital wounded in the first place. To kill both of you.

...Or maybe Vermillion first, Brother second. That might work out wonderfully, yeah?]

I know she's with you, Brother. [AND JUST YOU WAIT... a small snort of contempt escapes him, as if Jin would be so idiotic to try and attack her in the plaza of the village weaponless. Not to mention, Tsubaki's here. How does one effectively kill the best friend of his best friend from childhood without starting a big issue?] I haven't done anything to her, yet.

[There, he hopes that comment makes you feel better. ...Or more paranoid, works, too, tee.]

[Ragna slams the journal shut, his eyes moving to Jin. He's got a cold stare going on, as his voice gets dangerously low.]

Yet? How about you don't try anything, period. [Does that work for you, Jin? Because if not, Ragna can just punch you in the face and get it over with. He's already trying hard not to do just that.]

[Oh ho~!]

[The voice change from Ragna does nothing to stop his next set of words, although there is a little bit of amusement and contempt mixed all into one laced between them. For the moment stays put on his bench.]

So it is true. Shame on you, Brother. I knew that face of hers would do you in if you ever met.

Jin, if you don't shut that trap of yours right now. [Does he have to finish his sentence? He hopes not. The point should get across just fine.

Besides. Ragna is the one armed with a weapon here. You know how he gets when he gets pissed off, Jin.]

[Pissy Bull in a China shop, check. Noting his own extreme disadvantage in continuing this conversation without Yukianesa, check.

Jin looks as if he wants to say something really really badly, but it will have to wait until he can actually make use of provoking a fight out of his older brother. It's just a little out of his "stupid ideas" range to further test the boundaries of Ragna's temper control without some type of weapon or defense of his own at this point.

So, instead, Jin just actually listens to Ragna for once, mouth closed, although he's staring up at his brother expectantly.

As you were saying..?]

[He actually listened. That's suspicious and it puts Ragna into an uneasy place. But he'll roll with it. It's just odd, and an unfamiliar feeling. It's been years since something remotely close to this happened -- when they were kids.

Just... maybe Jin isn't as crazy as he used to be. Maybe Jin really conquered Yukianesa, like back home and the last time he was here. Could they get along again?

... Probably not. He's putting too much thought into this. He opens the journal again, to this page. Then holds it out to Jin.] The guide. Read it.

[Maybe. Or it may just have to do with Yukianesa quite far from him at this point with no leads as to where she might be. Either way, Jin takes the book from Ragna to look at it, unamused at the length at first. Still, he does as he's told, if only because he really should know more about this place. His unamused look turns slightly into interest as he reads more, but the further down he gets he looks a bit disappointed with there being so much info and yet lacking any real strategy to do something about their predicaments. All in all, it's a guide for adaptation until a way home is found, which isn't really something that will happen with them all just sitting inside this barrier waiting.]

How is it possible to be completely at the mercy of this ... Organization? [Even the overbearing power of the NOL... it only took the man standing in front of him to start taking down branch by branch what was previously perceived as an absolute power after Ikaruga.]

No one that's been experimented on remembers where they've been taken?

[Ragna waits for Jin to finish, and then stares at him as he speaks his mind on the situation. HE won't comment on not remembering where people are taken when they are taken personally. He doesn't remember where he was when he was taken. In fact, all he remembers is waking up in the clinic one day, without the Azure working at all. But that was probably a special occasion, when Noel saved him.

He'll just try for a generalized answer.] They can do whatever they want to us here, and there's not a damn thing we can do about it. And last I checked, no one really remembers anything past getting taken and suddenly being back here.

[Well SHIT. That just about sums up the worst vacation ever conceived.

Jin hands the journal back to Ragna, clearly irritated by his brother's confirmation that they were all, indeed, screwed over in some sort of limbo.

Just don't tell him you've been a victim, Ragna. He'll flip his shit if he finds out they experimented on you.]

I need to locate Yukianesa.

[Action] black_onslaught May 16 2011, 00:19:29 UTC
I don't think so. [He's not going to help you find it, nor is he even going to confirm that it might be at the weapon shop whatsoever. If someone helps Jin find it, or he wanders over there by himself and finds it, so be it. But Ragna isn't going to support it.

He takes the journal back, and packs it into his jacket.] You'll do just fine without it, Jin.
