A bit ( read: A LOT )bitter
The Results of an Interview
I went to see the Manager of Video Store today.
I went to the back room.
We talked for a while.
I had the feeling that the hours I was able to work wasn't going to be enough...
I stressed that I could work in the Summer. and open and everything.
She told me that she really thinks I would fit it in with the employee family , and that I have great taste in movies etc. She sought me out for the job.She tells me she is only interested in one other applicant...a girl who she still has to talk to...
After the interview she tells me that she now has to contact HER boss about me and my application. She will call me later in the week. I may start training with her on Monday.
I go home.
Half an hour later, settling down to dinner, my sister's friend says that her frenemy also applied for the job at Vision Video.
And HE got it.
I was very disappointed.
I understand she probably hired him, because he could work more hours.
But I guess I'm sad that she told me she had to talk to her boss and she'd call me later this week....and then 45 minutes after I leave...she just hires someone. :(
I guess I wanted some options in case I ever wanted to escape from the hell hole that is my job. I really should have learned never to wish or look forward to anything. ugh.
This is the second time I've applied for this job. And it's kinda like I was in the Finals...but I missed the GRAND PRIZE.
Maybe...She'll let me work in the summer?
It would be nice not to work at the Reading Room in the Summer. Drive 25 minutes. Pay 90 dollars for a 3 month parking pass. Yeah. It would be nice. ......Here's to hoping :/ *sigh*
