Firstly, thanks to everyone for their warm welcome. I've friended all who have dropped by, but I haven't replied to all comments, or commented on all other journals. Not really my style, but of course this may change.
The other reason for me to be here tonight is to say I have just registered my 400th book. It's title is "The End Of Mr Y". I bought it because of the cover. It has black edged pages, set against a very bright read back and front. The f
ront is very unusual (picture of which I'm hoping is close by!).
When looking for a synopsis to put with the first journal entry, I notice it's published by Canongate. These have recently joined bookcrossing as user canongatebooks, and have advertised on the forums for bookcrossers to receive copies of their books that seem to be used as marketing. I received a copy of one of these books last week. It is also the same place that published "Life Of Pi" (a book I read only last week). Canongate are having a large input into my life at present.
