So i didn't really write much while at home...so here's a summary of some of my second week activities at home.

Sunday: Went to church, had a million people ask me, "So, how's film school? How are you liking Florida? How's your roommate working out?" Next time I visit, I should just walk up to the podium and give a general announcement of how things are going and what's up, that'll save my mouth from having to regurgitate the same words over and over. :-)

Monday: Went to little D (aka: denton, tx). Saw my friend Justin's band play (Hardin Sweaty and the ready to go) :-) as well as a few other bands. Saw one of my best friends, Carissa.

Tuesday: THRIFT STORE SHOPPING. Lots of sweet finds for little $cash$. I've got some wonderful shoes, all high heels, that I'll hardly ever have a chance to wear. You know what that means...that means that we'll have to have alot of parties so I'll have a chance to wear them.

Tuesday night: Met up with my friends Erick and Derrik to longboard. I was a little scared, b/c I've never gone with anyone else, and they are good, and I am bad. I started off really slow. But Erick gave me some great tips on how to stand on my board better. Then when he got on my board he realized my trucks were way too tight, so we loosened them. By the end of the night I was going down the hills that they were going down, not from quite as high up, but almost. I don't like to brag, but I was proud of myself, especially for not busting my ass. It was SOOOOOO much fun...I was going fast, and making sharp turns. I need to find someone in Tally. that I can longboard with. ***This was one of my favorite texas activities***

Wednesday: Last Dallas shopping trip :-( Went to good records w/ Justin. Bought three GREAT cds:

Beruit - Gulag Orkestar

Daedelus - Denies the Day's Demise

Anticon Lable Sampler 1999-2004

It's my fav. record store and they had moved to a new bigger location. They have the best new cds in the listening station.

Then I went to the coolest coffee shop that I've ever been in. If you live in Dallas go to Gatchet, on lower greenville. Cheaper than starbucks, and better, sleeker, darker, mmmmm.

Bought some medium format film.

Went to Northpark. They finished the remodeling, and wow, it's been my fav. Dallas area mall, but now it's my FAVORITE FAVORITE. Bought a cute jacket at Delia's (my sister works at a Delia's close to my house and she told me about this $10 coupon you get if you just try on a pair of jeans.) So I went in tried some one and then went and a got the jacket that was already marked down...score. Got some cute fake eyelashes at Sephora and tried on the perfume that I want to buy but is too expensive...at least I smelled good for one day. Then I did horrible thing. I went into Anthropoligie...AHHHHHHHHHH...whenever I go into that store I become so greedy and covetous it's horrible. It is one of the few stores that I would wear almost every single piece of clothing they sell. I've never bought anything their though. Their idea of a sale is a plain white wifebeater tank for 19.99 and a cute knit comfy dress w/ a few layers marked down from $200 to $100. Argh! Then I went into Urban Outfitters...same story second verse...although sometimes they do have better clearance that I actually can afford.

One last Central Market Stop.

Then Jenny, Shelly, and I went to my Grandma Jeanne's apt. to show her my puny films and watch the two latest Project Runway episodes. It's great I've hooked both my sisters and my Grandma Jeanne to the show!

Thursday:

Went to Sherman, TX to see my Mimi. All four of girls went. Mimi took us shopping and I got yet more clothes, and another pair of tights (that equals five pairs of tight I've bought over the break...now I can wear skirts every day of the winter :-). Fell asleep early.

Friday: Drove back to Tally. I made it in record time, 12 hrs. That's even taking some smaller highways (i get so tired of stupid interstates) I like driving by real people's houses.
