On the other hand, it is also a great convenience if you have friends who live far away and can stay in contact via internet ^^
And I would seriously get bored to death at work without the internet I think...
As for weight loss, well I can just talk about the pictures you posted, but you look good! If you really want to lose weight because you feel your body needs it, do so, but do not do it in order to try and fit some pictures 'society' wants to brand on you...
I recently lost about 3 kg, it started with a gastritis, but due to the pain I started making bento for work (i.e. eat much rice and nearly no bread at all. If bread, I eat crispbread [Wasa^^]]. I think eating more rice helps me very much losing weight. And of course going to the gym, but this is more for bodyforming and strengthening muscles than really losing weight. You might even GAIN weight, but the muscles will still make the body look fitter. (And I do not run out of breath so fast anymore XD)

I've heard bread is really not that great for you, though I'm sure if you eat lots of whole wheat bread it should be fine. I think it's just the bleached/processed flour in white bread that's not so great. Same with rice, if you go for brown rice it's supposed to be much better for you.
