I've realized several things in the past week:
1) The program directors at Portland State University and Rosemont College are nice and eager to help.
2) The program directors at Pace University, rather than answer your questions, will send you links to the pages on their website that vaguely relate to your questions.
3) The program directors at NYU don't even list their contact info on the website, so you have to send inquiries through web forms that probably go to the end of a long, low-priority waiting list. Or you can call the main line if you want to hear an administrative assistant tell you to go to the website again.
