I did up my game since the pandemicon descended.
I'd already purchased a pressure cooker but got much more familiar with it. I did some sous vide (eggs for ramen and steak for steak) and was impressed.
Baked bread, made spice blends, ... we find our comforts where we do.
These cookies are totally worth the fuss.
https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2018/11/brown-butter-shortbread-cookie-recipe.html On my way home from the egglady this morning there were 2 crows eating something off the road.
IT WAS A HEAD OF A SEAGULL, JUST ONLY THE GODDAM HEAD
man, I yelled out the window IT'S A GODDAM HEAD, YOU IDIOTS
and that's saying something because I really love crows.
**no crows where i live.
stellar's jays and the little ones, northern flickers, ravens (who ran a pigeon into the side of our house and tore it to shreds a few weeks ago.
ravens can suckit), and yesterday, trumpeter swans, geese, ,,,no crows. Down the road, down the hill, yes. but not up here.
what happened to the rest of the seagull?
Today I might cut do the first lawn cut of the year. The back looks ok (we had a really wet winter and our moss has prospered) but the front looks like it could use a spruce. There's a bun living in the brambles out front and I really love that bun. I call, "Who's the best bunny in the land??" late at night, headlamp on, and the bun comes to show me who indeed is the best bunny in all the land.
