I watched A Cinderella Story today with Hui. It was yeah, predictable, but sweet all the same. Hilary Duff looked really big, not exactly fat, but muscular. I've always wanted muscles(like Serena Williams, hah!) but not in Hilary Duff's way. I think her shoulders are too big. Or something. Anyway Chad Michael Murray was cute, but that's all he was. Pretty boy Murray. A vase.
Before I left, Mrs Wong(my bio teacher) phoned and informed me of the good news; there's Bio remedial on Tues and Thurs. She also had the idea that we had Chem remedial on Thurs, so I had to call Mabia to get Shao Wei's number and call him to ask if there was Chem remedial. He's the Chem rep subject co-ordinater for Chem, you see. Shao Wei was so lame and irritating "What movie are you going to watch?" "I'm not going for Bio" and then "What time is Bio? My Bio's really lousy so I really need the remedial." (rolls eyes.) Of course I was late, much to Hui's displeasure. I saw Xin Miao and Esther after the show. They were going to catch the same show. I saw Xin Miao hugging a violin(!) and excitedly (or rather stupidly) asked if she was learning it (like duh, but nevermind.) She's in grade 2, but anyway, it made me miss my violin even more. I've been listening to classical violin pieces and they always make me miss playing the violin. Funny I don't miss playing the piano at all, although I fiddle with my keyboard once in a blue moon.
(Oh Geraldine, really, completely, etc are emphasizing words needed in persuasive language, not blank, filling words. They are there for a purpose (: )
I've recently had someone ask: "is the organization religiously affiliated at all? i've been wanting to sponsor a child, but i don't want to do it through a religious org. if you can let me know i'd really appreciate it. thanks :) "
Personally, I don't find this an issue at all. The first time I did Flag Day, it was for the Buddhist Free Clinic, a place where people can seek medical treatment for free. It was very noble, but I met this lady who wanted to donate, but when she saw it was Buddhist, she withdrew her donation. I find this very disturbing. Helping people should be done out of the goodness of their hearts, and not based on whether the beneficiary is a Muslim or Jewish. It's just too... elitist, and reminds me of Hitler. If god created us all, regardless of yellow, white, black or brown, are we all equal? It's a reason why countries go to war, or have civil wars. Why don't we just celebrate our similarities rather than differences? We think that "World Peace" has been immortalised by Beauty Queens, but the stark fact is that, most, if not every country, spend more than three or four times on defense than peace.
I am anti-Bush, but not pro-Kerry, btw.
