Now I know some of you aren't into politics. But it has come time that everyone face a certain reality.
This war affects you.
We are past the point of a quick solution. Surely everyone can see that now. I could sit here and list the ways that it can, and will, affect all of you. But in my mind that would be an insult to everyone's intelligence. I'm not going to do that. It wouldn't be right. NONE of you are stupid, and if you were, I would mention it here. I am begging all of you. Start paying attention. This is a global thing now. Never in any of our lives has a single event been so important. Think about it.
I have been listening to Ben Folds Five nearly all day, and definitely all afternoon. I've been listening to this album since I was seventeen, and when I look back on that time with this album as a lens, it doesn't seem that long ago-like at all. I have noticed that the usual almost angsty songs aren't doing it for me. This is ok however, since the rest of the album is beautiful at times. Track five I am really feeling. I could get up and look at the title, but I don't wanna.
Work work work. Today it was a blessing because I felt like ass. Needless to say I got alot done. I will have a bit of stuff to send all my profs at the end of the week. While I feel like ass today, I also know that I have never been this on top of things. Which is really a nice feeling. I'm beginning to see what everyone was on about.
I cannot wait till Wednesday. I have to get away from my parents and the general malaise that floats over and through this house like a cloud.
According to my brother, Germany is going to be an economic powerhouse in the very near future. They are attempting to unify the EU-minus Britain of course. Now they wanna know why the US has nearly 200 thousand troops still in their country 15 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. A fair question. I can't wait to see how this is resolved.
Please do not take me for being a fatalist when it comes to the war. I just wish more people would think about themselves in a truly global world. This is important. If you cannot understand that, well I don't understand what you are doing. So there.
Mananana. And a big raspberry.
If I decide to get a doctorate it will almost definitely be in Theatre History. I am thinking of "Richard III" and how it has shaped our view of the historical Richard as a thesis. I need this degree to teach. Which kind of sounds like a really cool idea at some point. I love teaching.
Tomorrow I go out with Christy. That makes my evening for sure. Probably tomorrow morning as well....we'll see.
