Wow. I just got back from a midnight outing to watch the midnight premier of Batman Begins. The movie completely floored me; it was truly amazing. There are dozens of quotable moments, and a lot of inspiring scenes/themes that take place. It's probably one of the only movies I've seen that are good all around, instead of only in a few key areas. I highly recommend it.
I'm in a pretty good mood right now, having just made my trip home in 10 minutes from a theater that's about 20 minutes away. Driving around on empty streets at 3am when all of the traffic lights are green is a pretty unique experience. Not only that, but the window was down and the music was loud. Singing loudly to myself all the way home also gave me a good burst of energy. I'm fairly awake right now, which is probably a bad thing since I have to get up in 4-5 hours to go to work. I also got a hug meeting someone new. Hugs are very powerful things.
I sent to see the movie with an old high school friend and his girlfriend. Another friend of ours decided he wanted to go as well, and brought two friends of his own. So all together there were six of us there watching the movie. I ended up buying a ticket for one of the extra people, as she was a last minute addition to the group. However, my friend left his cell phone in his car so he didn't get that message, and as a result she ended up with two tickets. On top of that, she left the movie early because she was bored. Bored, at a movie? Yeah, that's what I said.
After the movie was over, the five of us who remained stood around outside and talked for a few minutes. My friend introduced me to his friend, and we hugged a salutatious* hug. We talked a bit more then went our separate ways. Each of us has something to do early in the morning so wish us luck.
