The Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle - Chapter 196
Splash Page Rating: Now I know that Syaoran fans will definitely love this one and I must say that I did fangirl when I saw this. It was a very cute and adorable page of young and old "Li Syaoran, Jr.". Real nice of the older "Junior" of having his hands on top of the young "Junior's" shoulder. Awww... kawaii desu wa!! >///< I had to laugh because that cloak just keeps getting bigger and bigger. LOL! *laughs very hard* Side note: it was nice of CLAMP to put them like that and to see their comparison of their height. WOW!
Anyway, last time... it was left off as "Li Syaoran, Jr." ("Junior" for short) was leaping to save Sakura-hime from Fei Wong Reed. As "Junior" called out her name, Sakura-hime says that it is not her name. That her name was... but it was cut off as the evil powers of Fei Wong Reed are taking her away. Dang it, what is it with the "real name cut-off" moments!? MOU!! It seems that something strange happens when "Junior" is trying to reach for Sakura-hime's hand on the 6th page. Now I'm not sure what happened when Sakura-hime gave that kind of look on the 7th page and "Junior's" hand somehow backs off. Sakura-hime gets taken away by Fei Wong Reed.
Fei Wong Reed tells "Junior" that his hesitated decision of not taking Sakura-hime's hand had already decided a path that can cause the outcome of the future. But before "Junior" can unlease an attack from the sword, Sakura-hime comes back and HOLY MOKONA... she somewhat had of what it looks like a seal with black wings!! Oh noes... this is not good, not good at all! O.o
Anyway, Fei Wong Reed explains that the purpose of the black wings are a carved seal of death. *insert doom music* It's official: Sakura-hime is so doomed! Poor "Junior" for he took it so bad after hearing this and he really wanted to protect her. "Junior" angrily demanded why did he do such a thing as he jumps to attack him in full rage. Fei Wong Reed simply said that it was all for the sake of granting a wish. He releases his "Rai Tei Shou Rai" attack, but it was no good as Fei Wong Reed's powers are far more superior.
He gets send back at full force, causing him to have serious injuries. Fei Wong Reed warns him that he will die the next time he gets him if he tries to attack him once again. This didn't stop "Junior" from having determination to fight at his best in order to save Sakura-hime. Fei Wong Reed is curious to see if "Junior" is still willing to fight for a wish and if it is possible that it could be the same. I'm not so sure about this very much. *sighs*
However, Fei Wong Reed unleashes another attack and "Junior" tries with all his might to protect himself with the sword. AH! Now after careful reading and observing the last pages, it seems that he didn't die. He was taken away by Yuuko as he disappears from the cavern caves before Fei Wong Reed's attack hit him. Lovely timing, Yuuko... so very dramatic.
Now the main question is... what will happen next after he returns to modern Japan and what will he do?
