The Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Triple-header Commentary Report
I'm running extremely late with the chapter commentary reports, but I give my thanks to Maggie-san for showing the place to gather the latest TRC chapter scans. I hope that Ali-sama will be all right and I fully understand her absence. After all, her status and safety is the top concern - not the scans. Anyway, I'm going to make this in a short summary because I've been very busy with work. By the way, thank you Rena-chan for the chapter scans. *bows*
The Nyanko Chronicle Report 173A:
The Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle - Chapter 193
It is the fifth day of his stay and I really like the first half of the scene as it showed "Li Syaoran, Jr.", Touya, and Yukito on the shopping district. *squees* Ah, it seems that there is the young apple-seller boy on the scene. He is worried of what's going to happen on the 7th day and jumping to Modern Japan where the two manjuu buns are displayed - knowing that the shop and both children (not sure if referring to both "Li Syaoran, Jr." and Watanuki) were created for a very important event. Side note, I love the "Syaoran Strut" very much for it was cute! *laughs very hard* He and Queen Nadeshiko had a small as she is hoping that Sakura-hime's cleansing will end without incident. She says that even though she had the power to see the future through dreams, she cannot know everything that may happen. Still, she wishes to have a happy future and he says that his mother (Sakura Li-Kinomoto) said the same thing. We jumped to the rooftop scene where Sakura-hime is showing the night skies, but suddenly... she goes in a hypnotic state as the bell-like sound are ringing in her ears.
The Nyanko Chronicle Report 173B:
The Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle - Chapter 194
Sakura-hime is in some kind of a trance as the bell-like sounds are ringing on her mind. It is showring a few images in a way that are similar to the scenes of the premonition dream from the first chapter However, it is different images of young Syaoran and Watanuki, the seal of the wings, and the water caverns. She comes back to reality and somewhat mutters to him that it is dangerous and not to come any closer. King Fujitaka appears and Syaoran explains the situation, but King Fujitaka assures that only Queen Nadeshiko (who is also a priest) and Yukito are the only ones that can enter the cleansing grounds. Queen Nadeshiko didn't foresee this coming and Syaoran assumes that when Sakura-hime said that to her it may be possible that she herself is in danger. No matter how the next day goes down, "Li Syaoran, Jr." is still determined to protect Sakura-hime.
The Nyanko Chronicle Report 173C:
The Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle - Chapter 195
Mostly, it is Sakura-hime going through the water cleansing ceremony as Syaoran is watching her as he was permitted by the king and queen. He is on guard so that he can be able to protect the princess and there was a flashback sequence as Sakura-hime happily wants to hold Syaoran's hand after the ceremony as promised a few days ago. Suddenly, the caverns began to rumble and an opening appears in front of Sakura-hime. It is Fei Wong Reed who wants to take her away, but the waters are protect her against his magic. Looks like Junior here was trying to fight against Fei Wong Reed's magic and leaps to reach Sakura-hime!
I apologize that my commentary reports are very short, but I'm very busy and some of these chapters are already old news to most of you. Hope that I can be able to give a full commentary report for the upcoming chapter. Take care, minna-sama!!
