Auditioning
A few weeks ago, my boss told me that a local college was looking for adjunct faculty to teach in paralegal courses at their business school. They have several campuses, including one in Chicago, so I figured, "what the hell", and sent in my resumé. About two weeks ago, I had an interview, and tonight I went in and gave a short lecture to one of the classes, observed by the instructor and the Associate Dean. The AD told me afterwards that she thought it went well (I did, too, but you can never tell!), so, depending on their needs, there is a definite possibility that I will be doing some part-time teaching. I think I'll enjoy it, and a little bit of extra money wouldn't hurt, either.
