today, i went to this area that has scenic, RAGING rapids...known as great falls. it's in...you guessed it: great falls, virginia. the crisp spray of the water and the craggy grey rocks...and four of my gurls (well, five gurls, including brie's puppy, maya) along with me on a GORGEOUS, balmy afternoon...was simply perfecto. then, we had some margaritas on brie's balcony. i took an entire roll of film out there - maybe i'll scan some of the pix and post them here, because i was practicing some new photographic techniques i recently learned. i received my first issue of utne reader today, and my folks are about to have a bbq with corn on the cob and burgers...and i'm going out tonight. this has been my most gratifying saturday in a while, i must say. it's amazing how pleasant weather can turn things around for me.
