As I'm sure most of you are well aware, I'm leaving for a nearly two month study abroad trip in Japan tomorrow.
With that in mind, I'm resurrecting this interweb bloggin' interface so that I can update all those people out there who might care about my Nipponese Adventure.
Right now, however, I'm at my mother's house in Hobe Sound with no air conditioning sweating like crazy. Any minute now the air conditioner should be fixed and I can go back to feeling like a human being again. Until then, I refuse to move an inch.
It's at this point in my trip preparation that I feel a mixture of excitement and hardcore anxiety. "Have I prepared enough? Have I prepared well? Am I prepared at all?" Then a wave of aloofness hits me and I'm able to slough it off until the next wave of panic. And repeat.
I'm going to miss a lot of you (JOSEPH ALEXANDER CARTER!!!). Luckily, I think I completely conquered loneliness two summers back, so I'm hoping to be largely emotionally stable during the trip. Not that I don't expect culture shock. I'm just being optimistic at this point.
Look forward to pictures and hilarity in the future, guys.
