It's been a while, my how time flies.
I hope all my angels and my ghosts had a great Christmas and New Year.
Christmas was rather uneventful at my house, except that after we had our family dinner Nisse, Luis, and I went to Dedo's and danced till 3 in the morning.
The day after Christmas my cat, Sugar died. My mother and I were devestated. She was 17 years old, and a big part of our family. She is very much missed.
New Year's Eve found James and I driving the 4 hours to Alpine, TX to spend the weekend with Denisse and her family. It was an absolute blast! We celebrated NYrs in both central and mountain time zones, and sat next to a big bonfire hanging out and listening to the adults do ghetto karaoke with the grandfather playing keyboard and everyone else singing to lyrics in a notebook. Saturday we went hiking on the mountains that nisse's family owns, it was beautiful, they are so untouched by humans! we also got to go 6 wheeling at night in the huge pecan groves. It was great! We also got to eat wild boar, like boar that was killed the night before and slow roasted all day long. It was uber yummy. We also played sharades and ate at the only place open past 8pm in Alpine- Penny's cafe.
Finally all sorts of changes at work! The pro shop owner is quitting, our asst. head pro, Patrick is going back to sweden, and daniel is also quitting. And Nicole asked me to take his position! SO yea for me that means a promotion...more money and more hours! Everything else is just peachy. I am looking forward to next semester, which starts Mon. but i am somewhat apprehensive, becuase of my crackheaded schedule.
Anyway, I will deal with it when it comes, as i have always done.
