I love the Farmer's Market
I had a lovely day at the local farmer's market today. Wandered around picking out delicious fruits and veggies. My favorite cupcake joint is next to the market, so Marc and I enjoyed a delicious cupcake and some lavender soda after we were done shopping.
I'm sitting here eating fresh made pumpernickel bread with fresh hand made apricot and almond chevre, fresh locally grown cherries, and a glass of Zinfandel(not from the farmer's market).
I also made a soup. I'm not sure how it'll turn out. It's sort of a mish-mash of things I needed to use before they went bad mixed with a second mish-mash of things in order to add flavor to it. There ended up being quite a bit of it. Hopefully it's good because it looks like I'll be eating it for every meal for the next week.
Marc is having a dinner party tomorrow. I'm making desert. I picked up fresh rhubarb and strawberries from the market and am going to make a strawberry rhubarb tart. I'm also going to make a batch of white chocolate cupcakes.
