back to the basics

its been hard. with little trickles of water giving me refreshment and hope, i still stand desolate, waiting on the lies to stop, for the tide to turn. i want my breakthrough and I want it to be big. i won an entrepreneurship program recently. 6 months of tenuous work. my business plan became more of a life plan - how I would help New Orleanians and make a life for myself and my future family. my hard work paid off. i won the competition. prizes were $18K start up money, free office space for a year, an advisory staff to get assistance from and a free laptop. but i have this no end job that insults the very existence of the soul of a young man trying to start a non-profit.

a little bit about my non-profit - we are the VILLAGE NOLA. we seek to empower individuals, families and communities through intensive on-site, workforce adult literacy services. we do basic literacy, GED, and ESL training. corporations get empowered employees and new orleans gets a better educated workforce. its exciting.

so as i am trying to really formulate and found my business, i have to be a victim of incompetence. my supervisor has never held such a position before. her supervisor is a power hungry ego-maniacal fool. she is simply THE WORST! she can never be wrong and she'll lie to keep up that foolish ideal.

on the home front finances are looking kind of rough. i am praying for a breakthrough. i just need time to get a better position and catch up with all my bills. and where i would be in the dumps about this situation, i know there are solutions out there. i know i have hope and faith that things will change. its the only right type of expectation to have.

anyway, outside of that, i am gearing up for my second to last semester of grad school. I simply can not wait to graduate. its going to open so many doors for me as well as put me in a place where i can be successful financially.

i think that's all i have. more of my vagueness will be revealed soon.

glad to be back.

adieu
