30DGSC: Days 9 - 11

Thursday I made STRAWBERRY CARROT PINEAPPLE, which I thought was the SHAUNA’S CARROT CAKE, so I was extremely disappointed when I tasted it. I was so disappointed that I didn't drink it during the day because I thought it was the most horrible recipe ever.

So after I put Toddler!Mojito to bed I made ORANGE JEWELS. It smelled and looked wonderful but tasted absolutely disgusting! I read you should leave on the piff (white stuff) for smoothies. Whoever said that has no god damned taste buds!!! It made ORANGE JEWELS so bad I went back and drank half of the STRAWBERRY CARROT PINEAPPLE from the morning.

Yesterday I made the SHAUNA’S CARROT CAKE for real this time. The ginger was way overpowering, and it made my the inside of my lips tingle in an unpleasant way :o\ I only drank one cup.

Today I might try the ORANGE JEWELS again and peel off that damn piff!

I must say 3/4ths of these recipes just aren't good at all. I will have to start looking for recipes somewhere else if I'm going to make it through this challenge -_-

1 green tea bag (or 2 teaspoons loose leaf), $0 on hand
Coconut oil, $0 on hand
Pumpkin pie spice
Vanilla extract, $0 on hand


Week 3's Recipes
BANANA RAZZMATAZZ | serves two
2 cups fresh swiss chard
2 cups almond milk, unsweetened
2 bananas
1 cup raspberries

SOUTHERN SWISS | serves two
2 cups fresh swiss chard
2 cups water
1 cup strawberries
2 peaches, pitted*
2 tablespoons coconut oil

*Can substitute peaches with mango or nectarines.

APPLE BERRY PUNCH | serves two
2 cups fresh swiss chard
2 cups water
1 ½ cups mixed berries
2 apples, any variety, core removed

GREEN GRANNY | serves two
2 cups fresh spinach
1 ½ cups green tea, brewed and chilled*
1 granny smith apple, core removed
1 cup green grapes
1 cup mango

*Use one green tea bag or 2 teaspoons loose leaf.

PUMPKIN DREAM PIE | serves two
2 cups fresh spinach
2 cups almond milk, unsweetened
1 cup pumpkin, unsweetened (canned or fresh)
2 bananas
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
