Update # 1

So yeah. Wow. I haven't written in a while for many reasons but I guess I will now.

I have decided to quit my job. I hate it. I used to like it. Here is a copy of the letter I left at work:

Attn: Managers,

Due to feeling over worked and under appreciated I am requesting a leave of absence.

In the course of the past two years I have consistently done the work of a bookseller and Kids Lead whenever we have been between one which in that period of time has been four people. Since the community relations manager has quit I have answered calls about events, done store tours, prepared story times and performed them while performing various other tasks relating to these positions.

It has also come to my attention that recently, the music manager, who I do not work with, has spoken unkindly in regards to my performance here at work without ever bringing it to my attention. This is unproffesional in my eyes.

Among other things, I have been informed that recent interrogations have been made against several employees where my name was used and spoken of regarding things I said or did which were not true. I was told that in these meetings people were attacked because of their sexual orientation, religious beliefs and the way their parents had raised them. Above all else, these meetings took place without the presence of Human Resources, in person or on the phone. This to me feels like personal attacks on someones character as opposed to a professional opinion regarding job performance.

Attached to this document are the highlighted tasks for the three positions that I perform.

I would like to be informed as soon as possible in regards to the status of my requested leave of absence.

Terry Green

So anyway, I was told that you can only take a leave of absence if you have a doctors note, which according to the manual is not true. I will be calling tonight to let them know that I am no longer working there. Am I worried? No. My father helps support me and I have already been offered two Nanny-ing jobs and I can always do extra work in films. I'm just happy to be out and have more free time. Now I can easily apply to film school.
