Thief! Thief! Thief!
Judith Griggs, Managing Editor at Cooks Source magazine: "Well, sure, I stole a piece you wrote right off your webpage and published it for profit without telling you or compensating you at all, but since I copy-edited it for you for free, you should quit bitching, be grateful, and put my version in your portfolio! I was really doing you a favour, here! You should be compensating me!"
This story has been making the rounds a lot today on Twitter and Tumblr and suchlike, so some of you have probably already seen it, but still. It gives me the giggles that their Facebook page is being comment-bombed by tons of users yelling about plagiarism and theft. Sometimes the internet sucks, but sometimes it also rocks.
EDIT: Oh cheetos. They stole stuff from The Food Network, too! And photos from food companies. Probably also a bunch of other sources. People Of The Internet™ are combing through their stuff now, finding all the stolen bits they can. I suspect this will get very ugly very fast. Rock on, internets! \o/
