Nathan Fillion linked to this on Twitter with the comment: "Again, to my point, hot girls play Halo." It made me laugh so hard I cried. The song is a parody of Katy Perry's "California Gurls", and it isn't actually very good singing-wise (which is about the only thing the original had going for it, what with it being terrible at everything else), but the cameos by Stan Lee, Katee Sackhoff, and Seth Green rapping may have just made my year. Plus the guy trying to do spin-kicks in his open-back Flash costume was amazing.
Geek and Gamer Girls Song - Watch more
Funny Videos I remember being fifteen and guys online would say that either I wasn't really a girl or I wasn't really that much of a geek. I remember that when I went to see Brad (
burado) in Halifax, on the bus, I wound up seated next to a geek guy who told me to my face that geek girls don't really exist, and he could only continue to shake his head in disbelief as we spent the next five hours talking RPG systems, console games, and programming languages. I am so, so glad that geek girls are a known entity now, but I am not surprised (on several levels) that the girls who made this video call themselves "Team Unicorn". I am grateful to not be widely regarded as an exotic mythical creature anymore.
