01. Hey, pro tip, maybe don't watch the Scrubs finale when you're moving away from somewhere forever. There's something in my eye. (For those playing the home game: I'm moving to Atlanta! With my boyfriend. But first we're going to Central America for 5 weeks or so! I leave Boston in less than two weeks! Kermit arms! The deets.)
02. I made these Chocolate Toffee Rum Cookies last night, as part of the Use Up All Baking Ingredients Initiative, and they might be some of the best I've ever made. And I've made a crapload of cookies. OM NOM NOM.
03. Sweet music for downloading! Lovely Allen - Holy Fuck: I can count on like three fingers the instrumental songs I've really loved, but this is heart-swellingly great, perfect walking-around-to-the-soundtrack-of-your-life music.
The Love Language - Lalita: Just typing the name has this stuck in my head, and I have no regrets.
Fanfarlo - I'm A Pilot: How have I not uploaded this already? When everyone was obsessing about this album a little while ago, I was like yeah yeah, and then I got it and listened to it 874 consecutive times. I think this song's my favorite, but it tends to switch.
Mumford and Sons - The Cave: I guess technically they're folk/bluegrass? But that makes it sound like a song you don't want to download, and it's a song you do want to download.
Cory Chisel & the Wandering Sons - Home in the Woods: also bluegrassy, in that way that gets longing really right.
Empire of the Sun - Walking on a Dream: Or you can stop listening to bluegrass and have a dance party. Come to think of it, I *am* always running for the thrill of it, thrill of it.
Bon Iver - Flume: I keep waiting to get sick of this song, or Bon Iver in general, and I just don't. So spare and lovely.
Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks: I go kind of hot and cold on Grizzly Bear (I think you have to be in the right mood for most of their stuff and often that mood is, um, sleepy), but this is great. WERS has decided to play it like 50 times a day, which I am totally okay with. (Man, I'm going to misssss WERS.)
Baby Teeth - Looking for a Road: one of those songs that came up on my iPod
Passion Pit - Sleepyhead: I think you'll either love this or hate it. I'm kind of surprised I love it.
Iron and Wine - Belated Promise Ring: This track reminds me a little bit of Sufjan.
04. So I'm going to take the great leap back into blogging, at least while I'm traveling around (...this isn't blogging, this is LJing), except thinking up an awesome domain name is the HARDEST THING EVER. Ugh, any tips?
05. I just posted this and Google Chrome saw fit to delete the entire text of the entry in favor of "asfda", which I'd typed before I started writing any of it. WTF Chrome, each day I hate you a little more.
