So, good news - I saw a dog today. Have you seen a dog? You probably have.
Friends, why is LiveJournal -- nay, the internet at large -- so quiet lately? I realize I have no leg to stand on personally, but I want things to read when I am supposd to be focusing on Productivity! Well, here is my contribution to the silence. I have all these epic half-written posts, most of which involve pictures and adventures (... for some very flexible interpretation of 'adventures'), and instead I'm going to give you a meme. So there?
1. What time did you get up this morning? Ugh, like 6:30.
2. Diamonds or pearls? Haha, I could not care less.
3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Umm, Role Models, starring Paul Rudd and Stifler. Before that, Dark Knight, I think. I pretty much never see movies anymore.
4. What is your favorite TV show? The Offive.
5. What do you usually have for breakfast? Lately a hardboiled egg and something I've baked and frozen (pumpkin ginger muffins [add apples!], pumpkin blueberry pancakes) or oatmeal. The egg turns out to be the secret that keeps me from gnawing my own hand off by 10:30. Sort of.
6. What is your middle name? McDonnell.
7. What food do you dislike? Olives really bother me. I'm wondering if I can train myself to like them, though. I've been able to do it with lots of other foods since adulthood hit. |_|

9. What kind of car do you drive? FEET.

13. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? EVERYWHERE. Also Iceland. But in the summer.

16. What was your most recent memorable birthday? This year I went to see The National and had pizza and my roommate made me a cake!

29. What is a day on the calendar you are looking forward to? Saturday I have a brunch party AND a Thanksgiving-food party, nom nom nom. The 22nd is the day I begin Not Being at Work so I can travel to Warmer Places (Florida, Atlanta) and eat things.

32. What was the last thing you ate? I'm eating an orange maintenant. fodian bought it last week when she was my stand-in roommate and partner in all things awesome (i.e. eating). I'm about to have a leftover frittata I made.

35. How is the weather right now? 55 and sunny (yay!) but it's going to rain later.

38. Favourite restaurant? The Kebab Factory has a kind of lame name but Indian so good it's spoiled me for all others. Zing Pizza in Porter is brand new and does slices of things like butternut squash pizza, and yummy roti.

40. What was your favourite toy as a child? Books. All of the books, all of them.

45. When was the last time you cried? Really cried? Uh, like yesterday, because when it gets dark by 4:00 every day I become a crazy person unable to cope with reasonable things like "reality". God, how am I going to make it to spring, guys?
46. What is under your bed? Suitcases, hair, one of the two boxes I've never unpacked since moving two years ago, oh god. WINTER PROJECT.

I went to a yoga class at Karma Yoga, which is really awesome (though I somehow managed to bruise my tailbone), and then I got eggplant quiche for dinner and read some Matthew Dickman poetry* and then I met up with a friend for coffee (I had Mexican hot chocolate -- spicy!) and then I went to a comedy show and then I went out with people after and then I went to BED.
48. What are you afraid of? Heartbreak, people dying, Cameron Diaz.
49. Salty or sweet? I am 84% sugar at all times.
50. How many keys on your key ring? I just had to count. Five. I don't know what two of them open.

52. If you can choose your talent, what would it be? Like, one I don't have? Athleticism. Or math.
