Merry Winter Hoilday Everyone!
Hey all! Happy Winter Holiday! Yes, I realize that as it's oning on 1 am here, it's technically not Christmas anymore, but oh well, whatever.
Anyway that's not what I want to talk about.
I am really excited about sannion's book Writen in Wine, a collection of essays about the Greek God of Wine, Madness, and so much more. I would be excited to hear that sannion is putting out another book anyway, he's awesome and I love his work. But this time, a bunch of the essays and stuff are written by other Hellenists, as well. And one of them is me! Yay! This essay was actually turned down by PanGaia. Hah! Take that! Just kidding, guys, I still love you. But seriously, an actual BOOK. Is that not cool upon cool, or what?
It comes out on January 20th, which he tells me is the Lenaia this year. I confess I myself have not worked out the lunar calender yet for this next year, I have been too busy with the holidays. Bad Hellenist, ::slaps self:: no biscuit. Anywho, I hear it'll be available on amazon.com and everything, (which leads me to assume that there is an actual ISBN number) but I dunno the details or anything, if you have any questions, your have to go bother the man himself, sannion. I know I am eagerly awaiting a chance to order it. (Hey! I'm paying for my own work! How'd he do that? Smart guy! ;o)
Anyway, it's been a long, if fun, day filled with much eggnog (no, I didn't add brandy! I swear! It was rum) so I am headed off to the warmth of my bed and my lover. Sleep well, all.
