(no subject)
Well, the lappyless saga continues. Apparently, they didn't have the DC in port when they talked to me about needing the casing, as I had thought they had said ... I could swear he said they'd already put it in and they were putting it back together and couldn't, which is why I needed a new lower casing. Then I got a scare yesterday because when I called to see if I could pick it up, he said they didn't even know if they'd be getting it, that it was possibly backordered, and he'd call me when they did get notice of the piece being shipped.
I proceeded to go into shock.
Luckily, yesterday was a day off. I spent it almost wholly on the couch, in a state of boredom and depression. I just got a new game for the PS2, so I played that, watched a few movies, got takeout and just ... relaxed. But also moped.
I made up my mind last night that I'd call again, just to double check and try to weasle some sort of estimate of when I'd have my laptop back. So I did. The guy was really nice, and told me he'd got confirmation that it was being shipped and he'd either get it today or tomorrow, and that I'd probably have my lappy back either tomorrow or Thursday. Thank. God. So the end of the tunnel is finally here, and confirmed this time. I will be able to make my LIMS entry, and get back to work on my comms, and catch up on RPing verrrry soon.
*breathing sigh of relief* I am so attached to my laptop. It's like a limb, srsly.
