Wow.
So ... I finally feel like this show is on its feet. We still need speakers in cars and balc fills, but for the most part, our system is up and running, and we have mics and it sounds ... actually very good. Rather fucking fantastic, really. That might just be the tired and the euphoria talking, though. Still. For the moment, knock on wood, we're doing well. There was almost no stopping for sound tonight, and that's what I want.
I was telling my assistants this ... god, I love having assistants. And minions. That's even better. Anyways, I was telling my assistants the wise words of Phil Allen. Well, technically not Phil, I believe they're technically Otts Munderloh, a good friend of Phil's and one of ol' Broadway's premier sound designers ... Anyways, he always said, when you get into tech, you always want them to be holding for lights. You never want them to have to be holding for sound. People are used to having to hold for lights, but the minute you have to stop to fix a mic, they get all pissed off.
Well, we really haven't had to hold for sound yet. So we're on track so far. Let's hope we stay there. *sigh*
Anyhow. I think I have a few more things to do and then, sleep. If anyone's wondering why I'm a little quiet lately, it's because Silver Circus is slowly sucking my soul. Night, kids.
