Home again, home again ...
Jiggity jog. God, my head hurts. I got a flu shot yesterday, and I think I became one of the 'few' who come down with the flu right afterwards. Last night, I went to bed at 4 am (We were watching The Doctor - I had to stay up!), and around 5 amish, I woke up in a fever, wracked with shivers for no apparent reason. Like, really, really hard. And I was having trouble separating the dream I had been having from reality. I piled blankets on top of myself, even though I wasn't cold, and finally ended up sitting up, drinking water and rocking back and forth until the shivers stopped. I still had a hard time getting back to sleep. I woke up two hours later hot as hell and kicking all of the blankets off. Around 10 my alarm went off and I awoke to a slow, throbbing headache and my whole body aching a bit, including where I got the shot. Damn it! Why does this happen each time I go on break? It's like my body says, "Oh, you're ready to rest now? Well, good! I can get indescribably ill, then!"
So, today I fiy back to CO for my last winter holiday before I graduate. Damn. Where the hell did all the time go? It hardly feels like yesterday that I was preparing to leave for CalArts, with hardly an idea of what to expect when I got here. Now I'm knee-deep in my thesis project, have a great group of friends and fellow workers, and two and a half years of memories around this place. Jeez. Now I just have to find a place to live once I get out of here and something to do over the summer ... Maybe Jon'll let me help tidy up JonSound. That'd be nice.
Well, Colorado, here I come. And boy, am I ready. I want to see snow and have it be cold outside. Like, actual cold. And see my family and friends. Although I do need to do a bunch of work on Silver Circus in the meantime. It's gonna be good.
I just hope I didn't forget to pack something important. Well, I'll see you all in Denver.
