Mom's Day!
Today I took my mom to eat and then to a movie for Mother's Day! It was a lot of fun. She chose Star Trek, of course ... and we both really, really enjoyed it. I would recommend it, if you haven't seen it. I grew up watching Star Trek with my mom, the original and then ST:TNG, so one could say I definitely had some reservations. I see what some people have been saying about the continuity, and I can understand why some might be not as happy about the way they 'finagled' it. At the same time, I think it was actually an interesting way to give them a reason to basically reinvent the series. Plus they really cast it well, and the effects and music are awesome. There's a few more films that are or will be out that I want to see, like Terminator, X-Men, and Angels and Demons. Hopefully I'll find time (and money) to see them all. I'll certainly have the time after this week ... :\
I really need to read some of the books I've had sitting around here ... But at this moment I'm watching Ouran High School Host Club. It's been a while since I've watched some good anime, I'm already a fan! X3 SO CUTE.
