The fair? Ooh, haven't seen that one. I've seen Sybil, Matthew and Isobel -- that's a deleted scene, not a cut one. Carnival (the production company) cut down DA S1 to fit in the 90 minute increments allotted by PBS and Masterpiece Theater. So, nearly every ep except ep 1 has a scene missing.

THEN PBS did something truly bizarre when they reaired it -- they inserted some deleted scenes. But scenes that never made it onto the deleted scenes DVD!! So, they cut entire subplots (Anna/Bates and the snuff box in ep 5, Mary/Isobel/Cora and William's mother's treatment in ep 6) and inserted these RANDOM 30 second "additional" scenes in eps 2 and 3: a Robert and Matthew scene in ep 2, and two Matthew and Isobel scenes in ep 3, as well as an extended Cora and Violet scene, and the Robert/Edith grieving for Patrick scene in ep 1. Yet...25 minutes of eps 6 and 7 is still edited out...GO FIGURE!!!

I did see the added 2x04 scene when it aired on PBS for M/M -- I still don't get why they added that scene and didn't just...keep the rest of the dialogue they cut!!! Seriously, PBS -- you didn't need to show extra stuff, just air the stuff that you edited out in the first place!!! :/ Sigh...

Where/How did you see the Sybil scene?

PBS must be on some kind of power trip because its ridiculous what they are up to. Like a James Bond villian or something along those lines. Grrr,

Awww, cool!!! Heeee at Thomas knowing Shakespeare! And LOL at William for...not. Oh man, JF is so good: "It might not happen!" "It already has."

The Sybil scene was on the UK DVDs deleted scenes. :)

PBS were just morons who thought their Masterpiece Theater allotted timeframe was better than airing entire eps of DA. Then DA became a massive hit, and suddenly in S2, they (for the most part) "found" extra time... :/

UK dvds? Hmm I have the US since that is what Amazon sold and said UK dvds wouldn't play in an American format. *sigh*
Hopefully they will keep their grubby hands off Season three. Grr.
