It's... magic!
Considering that in Slovenia we already have a lake that is sometimes there and sometimes not* we should have perhaps not been surprised that we apparently have a river that took a couple of days' worth of vacation.
Iška is a river I've taken numerous picnics nearby in my life and that has never done this before (well, now it's come up that it's happened once during WW2, hmmm).
It just disappeared. Empty riverbed. Dead fish.
And reappeared a few days later.
But, you know, the first thing I thought when I heard the news Iška disappeared was: 'Why would someone be making this up when it's not April fools.'
It's kind of hard to fake photos like that though.
