Time to watch the sunset

I haven't posted anything of much substance in ages. I haven't felt like writing because of many reasons.
I've been really stressed about work, but finally finished this damn overdue project. *sigh* Lets hope something like this doesn't happen again.
For those who might wonder because they saw my depressed crying post that I made private pretty much the next day: my mum is doing great! :) She had many tests done and surgery and everything seems to be ok now - she just needs to be on a very strict diet, but that is such a small thing, considering.

The U2 concert was great. :D The feeling you have when there are 60000 people singing songs you've known forever .... it's sort of indescribable. I really liked Snow Patrol, too.

S. and I went to the coast for a week of relaxing at the beach recently. We both so needed that. The weather was lovely, warm but not too hot and sunny for most of the week. There weren't as many people due to it not being high season anymore, which meant we often had the beach mostly to ourselves, yay :).

I LOVE reading books on the beach while listening to the waves. *happy sigh* :D I read:
- Nation by Terry Pratchett (so much ♥!!!),
- The Awakening and the Summoning by Kelley Armstrong (liked both),
- V for Vendetta (I've had this borrowed from my coworker for ages and finally got through it now I had time) and
- Norwegian Wood by Murakami Haruki (gift from a friend).

The place we went to was lovely (aside from horrible illegal buildings D:) and we felt very at home there. There was something we found odd though, when we arrived - there was salad and some other veggies sort of strewn under our olive tree before the terrace. The whole camp being quite nice and clean this seemed out of place.

:D:D We had two turtles living right in front of the house. :) The cutest thing ever. They don't really do much but sleep, eat, burrow themselves in the earth... but it was nice watching them, when they weren't sleeping hidden under the tree roots.
I am thinking though that it may not have been exactly be the most ethically sound thing for the camp owners to do... I asked them and they said they found them - in essence that is trapping wild animals and keeping them captive, no? I did end up feeling quite a bit unease when one turtle tried to climb out. Should I have helped her escape? Hmmmm.
