Seriously? Russia? How about not shutting down an important energy source to EU countries just because you want Ukraine to do something? During wintertime?
Thankfully we have a bit of a supply of cooking gas (what is the roper English term?) through pipelines from Algiria through Italy, but otherwise we'd be screwed and quite a few countries are (Croatia, the Check republic, Austria...). Me and S. only have an electric stove and oven so it doesn't apply to us directly, but I am still very uneasy about this terrible dependency on certain things in our lives, supply of which we can't really control.
