I not only won, but I WON!
I have finished the novel. Yes, it's done. Completed on November 28, 2007 at 9:05 pm MST. 56, 447 words in all. All that's left to do is to edit, synopsize, pitch, edit, pitch, plead, beg, find an agent, pitch, edit, edit and edit.
But I wrote a novel in 28 days. Not too shabby.
Thanks to everyone who has believed in me, told me I could do it, and put up with me as I did two full-time jobs this month.
Especial thanks to the one and only Muse, my dearest LadyHawke, who told me she always knew I would succeed, and who is my biggest inspiration. Every writer has a muse - mine just kicks my butt.

Tomorrow night, we're going to Outback for a non-celebratory dinner (we don't celebrate when we go out - bad things happen when we do). I'm going to eat a blooming onion, a huge juicy steak and a molten chocolate cake.
And then I'm going to be dieting for the rest of my life. Ah, but the month has been so worth it.
