And a blessed one to you all. How's the last year been?
Educational
Painful
Interesting
Quirky
I hope I come up with some goals for next year. Right now, the only thing I have planned is to increase my new hobby of jewelry making. I'm finding it very enjoyable and soothing. And the feeling of accomplishment in holding something beautiful that *I* made is worth the sore and bleeding fingers from dealing with sharp wire.
My health is improving. That's a very good thing. I'd like to live well through many more Samhains.
I am *SO* ready for the election to be over. The absentee ballot went into the mail today. I'm done.
WAY done.
Anyway, welcome to the dark times. The winter of souls. The brooding, slow, contemplative time of the year. The Lord awaits his rebirth in the Underworld, and the Crone sees the Old Year on its way.
I positively LOVE this time of year. This is when the Fae in my heart comes out. I'm dressed in my Goth/Punk Princess outfit at work, where the receptionist has decorated the front office as a graveyard office (where you buy your plot) and herself as the Undertaker. I love working with these folks. Taking ourselves seriously?
Nah.
Winter Blessings on you all, my friends. May She continue to smile on us.
