Machu Picchu and Ramblings
Thirteen days until I'm hiking all around the ancient ruins of this glorious place! I am so excited. I will of course be taking an alarming amount of photos and I will have a grand Peru post when I return!
I'm also really excited about my sister's wedding (which is going to be at a lodge right near Machu Picchu). I'm doing her hair and make up.
Oh! Speaking of make up, I'm also doing my former roommate's make up for her wedding this Saturday. I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but I do make up as a side job for weddings, proms, other formal events, etc. But of course for friends and family, I only accept love for payment. :D
I am currently trying to get AHEAD on all of my homework for the week of classes that I'll be missing. My professors have been gracious enough to work with me and let me turn things in early and also take quizzes late. I just have to provide a plane ticket for proof that I was actually in Peru, lol. Perhaps I will also bring a scrapbook of the ALARMING amount of photos to also back my ish up.
Essentially, I've got a lot on my plate right now. Thankfully, I thrive on being busy. But, after I finish my current story, I probably won't start writing anything new until after I get back from my trip. Which makes me a little sad, but I'm also excited for an interlude. I love the internet but a week and a half without it is going to be quite refreshing!
