Sunday School!

I love my Sunday School kids! They are the coolest!

Today we talked about prayer. We talked about why we should pray and how we should pray and we did a craft! I used the verse from Luke 11:9 that says, "Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you." And I bought a bunch of photo frames and made doors to go over the picture part, and put the verse on top. And behind the door was the Lord's Prayer. And then we decorated it and it was soooo cool and we had so much fun and made a big mess.

What I love about these kids is that they have so much fun and they are so alive and love to talk. And I don't force things down their throat, I don't tell them, "Say you love God!" But they themselves, when they're doing crafts, will write "God is great" and "Jesus is God." They're so cool... They may not understand the significance of everything I say, but they really grasp the reigns of faith and teach me a lot as well.

When we were done I asked what we should pray for. Robert asked to for us to pray for his firetruck, so we did. Last week Lucas asked if we could pray for cities, and some of the kids were kind of making fun of that request. Jake said this week, "Why should we pray for the people in the cities? There's a bunch of robbers there." I told him that we should pray for all people, and that robbers especially need prayer. And then all the kids were like, "I don't get why we should pray for bad people! We shouldn't do that!" So I said, "Well... that sounds like our lesson for next week!" So I'm going to Comic Con next week (what up!) but Andrew is teaching about why we pray for bad people. I'm very excited. I think the kids are going to learn a lot from it. I love those kids so much! I can't wait to teach them after next weekend!
