Wondercon and photos and Fables

The weekend got off to a bad start--I lost my favorite camera lens. It's expensive but it should be insured--hassle of replacing it & deductible hopefully won't be too painful, we'll see. I don't want to go into it, but basically I was feeling down, so first order of the con was to hit Chevy's for margaritas with braisinhussy, teapotgirl, katiem00, and pikacello. I had fun with my takarazuko ladies and extended company. Did a bit of con coverage for ACP, you can see the photos HERE.

Katie was visiting from San Diego, so I asked her to play ukulele with us, since Mich had the idea to busk for donations to the Japanese Red Cross. Thanks to her undeniable skillz on cello, and well, some rousing spirit from Katie and me ;) we raised about $200--not too shabby!

Late Friday night/Saturday morning, I shot Sarah in a wedding dress (you'll see) and not too many hours later on Saturday morning, I headed into Chinatown with positivespace in her Chun Li cosplay. Thanks to my amazing little assistant moriyama_umi for coming along on both shoots.

Saturday afternoon was the ACP gathering. I got to hang out with Imari and try to spot ACP members in the Wondercon crowd. I think she beat me about 20 to 0 XD After the gathering I took some photos for praedestinatio and friends in their Fables outfits. Here are a few favorites:

2. The Snow Queen

3. Red Riding Hood

4.

5. Boy Blue

6.

See the whole shoot on ACS.

Saturday night we celebrated Sarah's birthday at The Chieftain then hit YamaSho for karaoke. Good times, I got to hang out with rubicantoto who is WEIRD but great :) and leaving the country soon. Katie tweeted about Cristina grabbing my butt... you know, the usual for drunkled married ladies ;D

Spent most of Sunday taking photos at the Angelic Pretty store. Will go again in the morning to shoot some more. The French cafe series is so ridiculously cute. If I had a healthy disposable income, I'd be buying ALL the biscuit & bow jewelry and accessories!
