Arctic Club Hotel and Pike's Place Market

Feb 11, 2011 23:19

For our new year's Seattle trip, we stayed at an awesome hotel, a Doubletree that used to be a gentleman's club in the 1920's, and it's styled in the spirit of the Yukon explorers that founded the Arctic Club. There were portraits of the old members and some of the Inuit guides/translators all taken by a photographer who was based in Pioneer Square, where the hotel is located. Oh, their mascot was the walrus. I was totally smitten.
