Our culture has a total obsession with self-destruction. We can't get enough of violent media, we constantly want to see our kind kill each other, and then sit our kids in front of it and say it's quality entertainment. I'm not saying violent video games are bad or TV needs to censor violence, because honestly, I love it to, I just think we need to replace some of the content. For example, instead of wrestling, can't we all just watch sex? Couldn't we just take wrestling and professional fighting and full contact sports and replace it with porn. are we so insane that we need to watch people fight and love violence, we should be all about love, hot messy sweaty love that requires a smoke break every few hours, not the thrills of combat.
We have this totally screwed up idea of sexuality, where we hide it and play with it, but as soon as we express our sexuality we've crossed some silly social taboo! If we educated kids and gave them as much sex as the NEED to develop healthily (the ostracizing of sexual behavior as "deviant" is so damaging to the psyche, it just goes to show as every serial killer has had some form of sexual repression in their life). If I flip on the TV and see someones insides, I would think it would be much better if they were moaning in ecstatic orgasm rather than their dying breath. People fighting shouldn't be spectacle, people making love, now that's something the whole family can watch!
