Nursing school is awesome
I love school. My pharmacology prof is a reincarnation of that prof in harry potter that reads the tea leaves. her name is mrs. drakeford, which reminds me of the mandrakes in harry potter, too. there was a girl who hated her last name in my class this morning and didn't want to say it in front of the class, and mrs. drakeford said it couldn't possibly be as bad as a last name of penis, or semen. poor girl. so far i've learned how to restrain people with different restraining devices, how to suture, irrigate, drain, clean, and dress wounds, work a mechanical lift, perform safe range of motion exercises, put on sterile gloves (which is much harder than it sounds...), and how to assist with ambulation. plus all the legal and ethical nursing issues with documentation, restraining, and ambulation. it is awesome. they dug the foundation of the house the other day. it should be complete right around thanksgiving. wedding details are being worked out as well. anyways, this will prob be my last time EVER to update, seeing as my life gets crazier by the day...so bubye. oh yeah, and going to school for free kicks ass.
