There is a huge reason why I'm not a web designer.
This is one of them:
woodnsoo.comThis is pretty much a temp page until I can get a real designer to make and code the page... not only is is ugly, but it took me like 7 hours to do :\. Witness my complete and utter lack of any html skills. Seriously, I just pieced together random bits of code

i'm certainly seen far worse for first webpages.
i do have a few opinionated suggestions though ;)
1) put your mixes and contact information at the top, and the links to z-trip and everybody else's website on the bottom. they probably came to your website because they want to know about you and hear what you sound like.
2) take out the "coming soon"... there's enough information on your website to justify it as a "real" website, even if you don't like the design... and having that there just pushes everything else further down the page.
3) change the link text on the left hand side to either a larger size (2) or change the color to white.... 'cause right now it's hard to read.
4) there's all this blank space at the top after the home > news > upcoming events etc options... i think it'd look better if you made the woodandsoo.com logo a lot smaller and put it up in the top left hand corner, and then had all the links after that.
but really i don't think it's bad for a first page.. you should see MY first page... it had a horrible rainbow background, scary pictures, flashing text... it was terrible. *grin* i didn't save it though (which is probably fortunate for everyone involved)

I'll probably implement all those changes when I get the time, but fortunately, I should be getting a professional to do a real site soon...
