I miss em. I'm glad she's coming back tomorrow...
Lessee... lots of stuff has happened in the last little while including throwing a great show (Marcus Intalex) that bombed financially (our crew lost $700 overall), getting totally sick for the 2nd time in 3 weeks.
The best part was taking around 7 or 8 years worth of accumulated loose change to one of those nifty change-counting machines. I ended up getting around $300 of which 10% was taken as a service charge). yay.
Played a set with my partner DJ Wood last night during a primetime slot in the second room of a big party and I think we blew the crowd away for the most part. I'm very much enjoying this 4 turntable set thing nowadays and I may or may not just start giving up on dnb (except for maybe making some mix CDs). A lot of the dominant dnb style is getting so obnoxiously formulaic and cliched nowadays and unfortunately, it seems like that's exactly the type of tunes you have to play to get booked... bah. I'm trying not to be too bitter here...
Saw the Planet of the Drums show and left before AK1200 finished his set cause the music was pretty meh. It didn't help that he decided to crank the sound so loud that it was distorting all over the place...
It's late and i should go to bed.
