I felt a little bad about it considering it's cold outside, but I just put a Bold Jumping Spider outside after catching it moseying across the carpet two feet away from me. They're not the bad kind of spider to have around the house, but I figured even so, he'd last longer out there instead of risking coming to the attention of my cat.
I think I've been reading too much HP fic, because as I got up to turn off the house alarm I thought of having to dismantle the wards first. I'm still reading A Year Like None Other, chapter 69.
