To play or not to play...
On friday I was invited to perform at a show. I figure if i don't I'll probably never get another chance to play a show within the next year. At the same time if I play and suck... people wouldn't want to see me perform again, they'd be like "oh its that crappy eric guy trying to get a new band going". But my dream and love to perform my music is driving me towards wanting to play. Even more so is the fact that I'll be playing very very personal songs about my grandpa and my parents turbulent time at home... so it isn't my views of the world that i'll be talking about, its my life that i'm sharing, i guess i only hope its interesting enough. 5-6 songs... 5-6 chances to try to catch someones attention, 5 to 6 chances to try to make someone feel like they know what has happened in my life, 5 to 6 chances not to suck.
