DW Drabble
Spoilers for Journey's End. I'm also using that bit from the BBC episode Fact File as personal canon.

Rose turned and ran toward the familiar sound - a sound she would probably never hear again - and watched the TARDIS disappear. Gone. The Doctor was gone.
He hadn’t even said goodbye.
New Doctor walked up beside her then and took her hand. She turned to look at him, wondering who this new Doctor was. The Doctor with one heart. The human Doctor. She didn’t waste much time answering herself for now.
He was the Doctor that had said I love you. The Doctor that kissed you back, and did he ever kiss you back.
Who was the new Doctor? Maybe he was her Doctor.
She turned back to where the TARDIS had stood. “He took the TARDIS.”
“Yep.” He popped his p for emphasis, just like he’d always done.
“That hardly seems fair.” Could he even be the Doctor, her Doctor - any Doctor - without a TARDIS?
“But, what you going to do without a TARDIS?”
“Oh, I can think of a few things we can do in the meantime. And besides, I definitely got the better deal.” He was looking at her with that crooked grin, and she was momentarily distracted by it. It’d been so long since she’d seen it.
“What do you mean?”
The grin didn’t stop as he reached into the pocket of his suit. A blue suit and red trainers. What had he been thinking?
“Well, for one thing, I’ve got this. It’s a piece of the TARDIS! I can grow a new one! See? I told you! A much better deal!”
Rose couldn’t help but smile at his enthusiasm, but had to ask, “How long’s that gonna take to grow? Years? How’s that a much better deal?”
“Well, we’ll eventually get a TARDIS. But, Rose Tyler, most importantly, I get to be with you.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
Now that, Rose decided, deserved another kiss.
