Hello and Thanks for All the Nudges
yI'm not even going to look at the last time I updated. I've been nudged like 87 times (well a couple) the latest from divinemum. I've been pretty busy lately. Here's what's up with me:
1. School's out for SUMMER! I wish it were forEVER! It was a hellacious school year. I can't last there much longer. I was a total bitch the last day for the kids (last Thursday). I was only a three hour day and to discourage some of the worse ones from coming, I told them it was Reading Day. They had to stay in homeroom for the three hours and READ. These kids don't read. I gave them all books and planned on turning on a movie after they read for a bit. Only TWO girls actually opened the books. The rest of them sat there and stared. So they sat there and stared for THREE HOURS. And a few of them whined and complained and when I told them to do what I had asked them to do in the first place, they refused. So they SAT. FOR THREE HOURS. Most of them failed my class and failed their independent reading class. And they wanted to know why they weren't having a party. I'm sorry, call me a mean bitch, but I don't believe in rewarding failure. I am just sick to death of it all. But it's OVER until August. YAY!
2. My computer had to get fixed. I have an HP Pavillion notebook that I love but one morning I turned it on and one of the hinges cracked. It just got worse and cracked the screen casing. Of course this was almost four months after the warranty expired. But Drew looked up online and apparently they had a defective screw or something. So he called them up and they sent me a box and fixed it up for free and I got it back in three days. Plus they cleaned it - I'm sure they were repulsed by all the crumbs in the keyboard - and even gave me a new battery! LOVE THEM.
3. I'm pregnant and it's a boy - at least that's what they tell me. It looks like an alien to me. But what do I know? I am of advanced maternal age. LOL Is there an Old Lady Having a Baby On Board sign?
4. Did I mention that I am EXTREMELY HAPPY THAT THIS SCHOOL YEAR THE YEAR FROM HELL IS OVER?
5. I bought a Dyson vaccuum off of HSN. This is the greatest vacuum ever. If you have pets that shed and/or allergies, seriously, the money is so worth it. I don't have to wear a dust mask when I use it and it gets dirt up that's been in your carpet for years.

7. I'm enjoying the new season of Doctor Who, but seriously get to Rose already! Actually, that and I think that Stephen Moffat is overrated. Not that I don't like his stories, I just don't think he's this OMG GENIUS WRITER. His plots are OK but his characterization is meh. And the last two parter was completely recycled (as most things are) but I think it showed too much. Too predictable, IMO. Oh well. Like I said - BRING ON ROSE NOW PLEASE.
