We All Know the Dog Was the Real Star
I have just been witness to the most ridiculously pathetic spectacle ever. Drew, because he is crazy and was talked into it by his friends, is going to be running a 5k later this summer. So of course he's started running. He leaves out the front door, in shorts and sneakers, but what is obviously recognized by Yuengling: World's Greatest Dog™ as an "I'm going to take you for a walk" outfit.
Yuengling proceeded to cry and cry and CRY for the next 30 minutes. He ran from the front door, to the window, back to me. He barked at the TV for about five minutes while he watched the terrior group on the dog show on Animal Planet, then came and sat next to me on the couch. Horrible person that I am, i ignored him while I read LJ, so he cried harder. When I continued to ignore him, (which I'm very good at because I teach sixth grade - ignoring whiners is my JOB) he turned around and put his head on my lap - which happened to be on the keyboard - and continued to cry in such the pathetic dog whine that you hear from the poor abused animals on that animal cop show on Animal Planet. You know the one where you cry because some poor dog has been chained to an old gate in some trashed backyard and is covered in fleas and sores and looks like he hasn't eaten in weeks? Seriously, this dog has had like 87 Milkbones today, not to mention part of my pizza at dinner.
It finally became too much for him and he had to go check the front door again. He got up and it looked liked I still have a dog on me because he sheds like it's his job. I swear I have done nothing but vaccum and brush this dog since May and it just keeps coming. When I went into the kitchen to use the Helmac on myself he just runs between me and the front door freaking out. Apparently he doesn't care that I'm in my pajamas.
He's out with D now. I think I need to get a big jailer's key ring and sticking it in his mouth, because he needs to learn a new trick. I also need that dog as an icon. Why hasn't anyone made the dog icon yet? I have pillaged and plundered all the PotC icons and no dog. WTF?
