well it looks like i'm babysitting regularly for cash. ironic, eh? i love dylan so much, though, and he's by far the absolute easiest kid to take care of. totally easygoing, and seeing how i'm the only person he'll stay with (more than a little flattering) it just worked itself out. his mom is so much like me, too, and we've known each other forever, and she decided to pay me 10/hr instead of my offered 7. it's surprisingly fun.
joie-may is more and more difficult as she gets older. it's hard because i love her dearly, and yet she can be really hard to deal with. she's bossy and assertive, which will serve her well later in life, but right now it's fuckin frustrating. especially when she then spins back to her affectionate, GENIUSCHILD self that i love. not that i don't love the bratty side, of course...
plus i get paid less to babysit her, and i just can't bring myself to raise my price for such long-time, much-loved clientele.
ALSO (yes, there's more...) every month for the first week on the patch i end up living off gatorade, oatmeal, and dry bread. cursed nausea. guess what, IT'S THAT WEEK! yay!
