When we are first introduced to Renge, she's sitting alone in her dark room, decorated with items of Miyabi from her favorite fictional dating sim called Ukki Dokki Memorial, playing a game. After being called out of her room, Renge sits down and enjoys a cup of tea while discussing her father's latest trip to Japan and his meeting with the Ootori family. Catching a glimpse of the photograph her father brought, Renge, in a snap decision, decides to travel Japan to meet her supposedly “Prince Charming”. Packing her suite case, Renge hops on her private plane and sets off to Japan where she would inevitable meet the Host Club.
To the average observer, Renge looks and acts like a prim and proper young woman. While this is very true, she's still a very outspoken young lady who has no trouble in stating her opinions on certain people or things, especially if it involves anime, pretty boys or anything remotely moe. This includes the Host Club which she attends to on a daily basis. Though, she no longer voices complaints against the club since her fan-girling tendencies have become an asset to the club rather than a hindrance. That being said, her fangirling can occasionally become annoying, as the Ouran Hosts have noted on multiple occasions. Still, she doesn't just focus all her energy on the Host club, but various other clubs, including the Moe Moe Ouran Journal, an editorial that she herself start that reports all the happening of the school's host club.
Despite being physical weak, as an upper class young woman manual labor is beneath her, and fairly harmless looking, Renge can be extremely frightening when angered. Her usually smile is replaced with a frightening expression, her eyes become yellow and her hair becomes Medusa like, the little snakes in her hair sport pointed teeth and red eyes. She also becomes incredibly pushy and a bit abusive when annoyed or extremely anger. Granted, she can be quite a pushy and bossy individual even in her normal state. After all, during her first visit to the Host Club, she insults Tamaki's beliefs and ideals, finds faults in the host's personas, declares herself Kyoya's fiancee and proclaims herself the manager of the club. One needs to particularly bossy to accomplish such feats without even batting an eyelash.
Her love of anime and visual novels, along with her obsession with beautiful men, tends to be the first thing people notice about her. She will freely admit her love and adoration for these things without any shame and with a degree of terrifying enthusiasm. She has no problem, with showing the world her love of anime, especially if it gives her a chance to introduce her hobby to a hapless fool curious observer. Oddly enough, hours of constantly playing visual novels have given Renge a knack in sensing character develop, especially if it's between two men, and thickening plots. Unfortunately, also affected the way Renge judge people. Since she has spent most of her life alone, with only her visual novel for company, the girl tends to judge people by their appearance, which is why she went to Ouran because Kyoya looked exactly like her beloved Myabi-kun, instead by the way they act. Though she was broken of this habit due to Kyoya's action of shattering a camera's and Haruhi's speech of not judging people by their looks. (Though, Haruhi's actions and speech made Renge fall for the girl. Renge is still blissfully unaware, along with the whole student population save the Host Club, that Haruhi is a girl) Nowadays, she tries her best not to judge people by their appearance, but it's still a bit of a struggle.
Renge has an odd talent to either dramatize trivial situation or romanticize dire situations. Not to mention, she is extremely fond of dramatic entrances or speeches, which she regularly does in canon, often appearing from the ground by way of revolving platform with a high-power motor accompanied by her distinctive laugh. Nonetheless, baring her bossiness and little quirks, Renge is a sweet girl who wants to make friends. Thanks to Ouran, she is not only able to make friends, but spread her love of moe, and boy's love, to the rest of the school.

- She is quite willing to lend a hand to people in need, even if they don't ask for her help.
- She'll do most tasks with such a exuberance and energy that most can't muster on a daily basis
- Renge is pretty cheerful and doesn't take things too seriously
- Once she set her mind on something, she's doesn't stop until it completed.
-As a person who spent has an extraordinary amount of time watching anime and playing numerous dating sims, she has a knack for sensing both character development, especially if it's between two boys, and a thickening plot.
Weakness
-Despite her good intentions, Renge occasionally sticks her nose where is doesn't belong which leads sometimes to trouble.
-As a lady of high society, she is not used to strenuous physical activity or work.
-She is stubborn. Once she set her mind to a task, Renge is relentless and won't give up until the task is complete.
-As an otaku, Renge knows quite a bit about video game and dating sims. Unfortunately, she tends to judge people by their appearance, such as thinking Kyoya was like Miyabe-kun because of their similar appearance. (Though, she has gotten a bit better at learning to not judge people by their appearance)

Staring at the bubble and sight of the sea overhead, she watches as her little fairy companion, a tiny little pink light almost the same color as her bow, circle around her head. As she takes in her surroundings, an odd little twinkle appears in her eyes and her hands, clenched into fists, start to shake, not out of fear, but out of sheer excitement. Clasping her hands together, she takes in the sight of Vatheon with a look of joy.
Could it be? Could this really be happening? Renge is almost tempted to believe the site in front of her is a nothing but a wonderful dream--though the underwater theme, especially in anime, is so last season-- if it were not for her wet clothes, which were now ruined because of the salt water, and wet hair. Only in her wildest dreams, she had imagined herself trapped in a city, possibly with many lovely male denizens, where she would rally them together to plot their escape. If she wasn't the protagonist, then she was the love interest of the shonen hero, who would rally together the citizens together. Of course, her dreams also featured having Haruhi-kun, or on occasion Kyoya-san, come sweep her off her feet. Just imagining such a charming scenario made her want to eat three bowls of rice!
Oh, no! She had nearly forgotten. Was she here alone? Had the others been taken to this wonderful, but rather cliched city? She lets out a rather dramatic sob, ignoring the surrounding people's stares, at the thoughts of being alone in such a vast city with strange denizens! Dabbing her eyes with a handkerchief from her purse, which remarkable remained dry, she gives the city a determined look. No, she would not be the weepy love interest! If she had landed here, then the others must be here. She needed the search the city for the others. Yes, it's much better to be the plucky love interest than the weepy one. Though, both types had their advantages...
Though, her first order of business, apart from exploring Vatheon and finding familiar faces, is to procure a set of dry clothes. Letting out a rather dramatic sigh, Renge bemoans the ruined state of her hair. Really, she would need to find a hairdresser immediately, who knows what magical transportation could do to one's hair! She couldn't help and wonder if this place had a copy of Ukki Dokki Memorial.
